G/A was the prime architect for a Oakland Unified School District-funded program of Critical Needs projects at eight elementary schools. The work consisted primarily of roof replacement, restroom repair and upgrading, and exterior window replacement. These items were been determined by the team, District Facilities Management, school site committees and the Measure C Advisory Board to be the highest priority items facing the chosen schools. Careful consideration was given to the concurrent modernization being funded by the State. The Measure C projects were identified as not having an overlap with the State funded work, as well as not being fundable by the State.
