B71 Researcher Offices

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Researcher Offices – Building 71

Within this project, researcher offices were added to a two-story space that housed a particle accelerator. This was achieved through a partial second floor and wall. Providing fire and sound separation from the existing testing space was essential. An exit door, a two-story emergency staircase and sprinklers were installed, as well as a suspended ceiling, carpet tiles and cubicles; the HVAC system updated. G/A provided full architectural services, including design and construction documents, management of M/E/P and structural engineers, and limited construction observation, working closely with LBNL’s design/build contractor.
