Dublin Auto Group requested design-build proposals from an east bay construction company for three new additions to their facilities: a car wash, a detail building, and a service shop. G/A provided the design of the facilities. The wash bay has been constructed. The detail and service shop buildings are pre-engineered moment frame construction with horizontal box-rib metal siding. They have full utilities including air for pneumatic tools, and sand-oil separators for the shop drains. The service building is fully sprinklered. In keeping with the city’s sustainable goals, the buildings exceed Title 24, use cool colors to increase reflection and minimize the heat island effect, and the roofs drain to nearby bioswales.
